Let’s talk luggage—because if you’re reading this, you’ve officially entered your “researching the perfect suitcase” era (welcome, we’ve been waiting for you). Whether you’re team carry-on luggage or a checked luggage loyalist, we make rollers that are as functional as they are stylish.
Our suitcases are designed for real travel—the kind where the gate moves to the far end of the terminal and nobody tells you. Think Hinomoto 360° wheels that glide like butter while you sprint, a TSA-approved lock on six of the roller models here, a cushioned trolley handle on every model in the collection, and interiors so smart they practically pack themselves. Almost. The two Pro bags do it differently: ballistic nylon instead of polycarbonate, and BÉIS security clipping zipper pullers instead of a combination lock.
Best Features of BÉIS Luggage
This isn’t just really good looking luggage (but thanks for noticing)—this is your 5-star travel companion with benefits:
- Durable Hard-Shell Exterior — polycarbonate on all six roller models, and a 100% virgin polycarbonate shell with reinforced aluminum corner protectors on the Hybrid pair, for impact protection right where bags get hit (enthusiastic baggage handlers, we see you). The Pro Rolling Backpack is ballistic nylon instead, and The Pro-Rolling Duffle Check-In pairs a polycarbonate back shell with a ballistic nylon front.
- Cushioned Trolley Handle — every model here has an extendable trolley handle with a soft hand cushion. Your palm will notice around minute nine of the concourse.
- Built-In Weight Indicator — it tells you when the bag is at or over 50 lbs, so you find out in your hallway instead of at the check-in counter. It’s on The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers, The Hybrid Check-In Roller and The Pro-Rolling Duffle Check-In.
- Hinomoto 360° Wheels — on The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers, and as 55mm suspension wheels on both Hybrid rollers for a smoother, more stable roll on uneven surfaces. The Pro Rolling Backpack rolls on two wheels instead.
- TSA-Approved Locks — on six roller models here, each with gap-free tapered zippers. Preset to 0-0-0 out of the box; set your own combination.
Locks, Zippers and Airport Security
Airport security may want a look inside your suitcase, and they’re getting one either way — the only question is whether your lock survives the introduction. Six roller models in this collection ship with a TSA-approved combination lock: The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In, Large Check-In, Hybrid Carry-On and Hybrid Check-In Rollers. A TSA-approved lock is one an airport security officer can open with a universal master key, so a bag that needs inspecting gets opened rather than damaged. The Hybrid pair adds gap-free tapered zippers and a puncture-resistant double coil zipper.
The preset combination is 0-0-0, which is less a combination than a suggestion. To make it yours: turn the dials to the current opening combination, press the reset button down with a pen or other small tool, turn the dial to the combination you want, then release. Full steps are on our TSA lock instructions page.
Pro tip: change it off 0-0-0 before your first trip, and keep the new one somewhere that isn’t the bag itself. You’ll forget it otherwise.
The Pro Rolling Backpack and the Pro-Rolling Duffle have security clipping zipper pullers rather than a combination lock.
Why Is a Weight Limit Indicator Important?
There are a lot of strategies for guessing what a packed bag weighs. Lifting something heavy, then lifting the bag, and comparing. Standing on the bathroom scale holding it. Winging it entirely and hoping the agent is having a generous day.
Enter: the built-in weight indicator.
Lift the bag by the weight indicator handle and it tells you when you’re at or over 50 lbs — in your hallway, where something can still come out, rather than at the counter, where it cannot.
It’s always the third pair of shoes.
The indicator is on six models here: The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers, The Hybrid Check-In Roller and The Pro-Rolling Duffle Check-In. The Hybrid Carry-On Roller and The Pro Rolling Backpack don’t list one. Airlines set their own weight limits, so check yours before you decide 50 lbs is the number that matters.
How to Choose Your Luggage Size
Minimalist packer? Chronic overpacker? Somewhere in between? However you roll, we’ve got the perfect size to match your style.
Here’s the whole collection, and what each one does best.
- The Small Carry-On Roller: our most compact roller (31 L), sized to fit most domestic and international carry-on limits, with a TSA-approved lock, built-in weight indicator, Hinomoto 360° wheels and a hidden AirTag pocket.
- The Carry-On Roller: the everyday carry-on, with 2 inches of expansion for when the trip home comes back heavier than the trip out, plus the TSA-approved lock, weight indicator, Hinomoto 360° wheels and hidden AirTag pocket.
- The Hybrid Carry-On Roller: links to other Hybrid rollers with the patent-pending BÉIS Coupling System, on a 100% virgin polycarbonate shell with reinforced aluminum corner protectors and 55mm suspension wheels. A pouch set for shoes and laundry comes inside.
- The Pro Rolling Backpack: the lightest bag here, in ballistic nylon. It converts to a backpack, rolls on two wheels and has a padded laptop pocket that fits up to 17" devices.
- The Medium Check-In Roller: our mid-size check-in, with 2 inches of expansion, a weight indicator that flags 50 lbs, Hinomoto 360° wheels and a TSA-approved lock.
- The Hybrid Check-In Roller: sized between the Medium and Large Check-In, and it couples to The Hybrid Carry-On Roller so the pair rolls through the terminal as one. Weight indicator, 55mm suspension wheels and 4-point compression straps included.
- The Pro-Rolling Duffle Check-In: a polycarbonate back shell with a ballistic nylon front, plus a zip-away divider that makes it one large compartment or two separate sections. A weight indicator and dirt bags are included.
- The Large Check-In Roller: the most capacity in the collection, with 2 inches of expansion for the overpackers among us (hi), plus the weight indicator to keep you honest.
- The 3 Piece Luggage Set — The Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers together.
- The Hybrid Luggage Set — The Hybrid Carry-On and Hybrid Check-In Rollers together.
One caveat worth knowing before you buy: seven of the eleven US airlines on our sizing chart cap carry-ons at 22 x 14 x 9 inches, while Allegiant allows 22 x 16 x 10, Southwest and Frontier allow 24 x 16 x 10, and Spirit allows 22 x 18 x 10. Gate agents don’t grade on a curve, so check your own airline’s size rules — and its weight limits — before you fly.
Top Tips for Packing Your Luggage
- Packing Cubes - The simple secret to organizational mastery.
- Compression Straps - 4-point straps on both Hybrid rollers, wider straps on The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers, and compression straps on both Pro bags. Cinch it down, make more room.
- Pouch Set and Dirt Bags - The Hybrid Carry-On and Hybrid Check-In Rollers include a pouch set for shoes, laundry, or damp items; The Pro Rolling Backpack and The Pro-Rolling Duffle Check-In include dirt bags. Shoes go in a bag. This is not up for discussion.
- Hidden AirTag Pocket - Built into The Carry-On, Small Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers and both Hybrid rollers. The Pro Rolling Backpack keeps its AirTag pocket in a removable zipper pouch. It helps you keep tabs when airlines can’t.
- Expandable Space - Five models here expand an extra 2 inches: The Carry-On, Medium Check-In and Large Check-In Rollers, and both Hybrid rollers. Liters are in the model list above.
- Luggage Covers - Protect your bags from scuffs & scrapes, keeping them flawless.
